By accessing or using any part of our services, including:

- Engaging our tax return preparation services
- Uploading documents to our platform
- Using the ITH Assistant (AI chat)
- Making purchases or subscribing to services
You agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions set forth herein, you must not access or use our services. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
2.1 Age Requirements
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use our services. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
2.2 Account Creation
To access certain features of our platform, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- A secure password
- Any other information requested during registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary to keep it accurate and current.
2.3 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
- Ensuring you log out of your account at the end of each session, especially on shared devices
Irish Tax Hub will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
2.4 Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You breach these Terms
- We suspect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- You provide false or misleading information
- Required by law or regulatory authorities
- You engage in conduct that harms other users or Irish Tax Hub

3. Services Offered
Irish Tax Hub provides the following services:
3.1 Free Online Tax Calculators
- Gratuitous Service: Our tax calculators are offered as a free service for informational purposes only
- Estimates Only: Results are estimates and should not be considered definitive tax advice
- No Guarantee of Accuracy: While we endeavor to provide accurate calculations, we make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of calculator results
- Limitations: Calculators may not be suitable for complex tax scenarios involving multiple income streams or specialized deductions
You should always consult with a qualified tax professional for advice tailored to your specific circumstances.
3.2 Tax Return Preparation and Filing Services
Irish Tax Hub offers professional tax return services, which may include:
- Collection, organization, and analysis of client-provided tax documentation
- Preparation of Irish tax returns in accordance with Revenue requirements
- Electronic filing of tax returns with the Revenue Commissioners
- Communication with Revenue on your behalf regarding notices and inquiries
- Representation before Revenue (where agreed upon in a separate engagement)
- Tax planning advice and optimization strategies
- Review of prior tax years for potential refunds
3.3 Document Storage and Management
Our platform allows you to securely upload and store tax-related documents, including:
- Payslips (P60s, P45s, payroll records)
- Bank statements
- Receipts and expense documentation
- Medical and expense receipts
- Previous tax returns and correspondence
Security: Documents are stored on EU-based servers (Ireland) with encryption. See our Privacy Policy for details on data security and retention.
Your Responsibility: You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of documents you upload. Do not upload documents you do not have the right to share.
3.4 ITH Assistant (AI-Powered Tax Information)
The ITH Assistant is an optional AI-powered chatbot that provides general information about Irish tax matters:
- Powered by OpenAI and Anthropic AI models
- Provides informational responses based on publicly available Irish tax information
- Not Professional Advice: See Section 10 for important disclaimers
- Your inputs are transmitted to AI providers; see our Privacy Policy
- Acceptable Use: See Section 8 for usage restrictions
3.5 Identity Verification Services
For certain services, we may require identity verification using Stripe Identity:
- You may be asked to provide government-issued ID and a selfie
- Verification is conducted by Stripe under their terms and privacy policy
- Required for compliance with anti-money laundering and know-your-customer regulations
- We do not store your identification documents; they are processed by Stripe
4. Client Responsibilities
4.1 Accurate Information
You are solely responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information necessary for our services, including:
- All relevant financial records (income statements, expense receipts, etc.)
- Accurate personal identification information (PPS Number, date of birth, address)
- Prompt notification of any changes in your financial situation or tax circumstances
- Complete disclosure of all income sources and deductions
4.2 Cooperation
You agree to:
- Respond promptly to requests for information or documentation
- Review draft tax returns carefully before submission
- Inform us of any errors or omissions you identify
- Provide all information necessary to accurately prepare your tax return
4.3 Compliance with Laws
You are responsible for complying with all applicable tax laws and regulations. While we assist with tax preparation, ultimate responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of your tax return rests with you.
4.4 Document Ownership and Rights
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the legal right to upload all documents to our platform
- Your documents do not infringe on any third-party rights
- You have obtained any necessary consents for sharing information contained in uploaded documents
5. Payment Terms and Billing
5.1 Fees and Pricing
- Fees for tax return services are determined based on the complexity of your tax situation and scope of services required
- Pricing for services is displayed on our website and during the purchase process
- All prices are in Euro (€) and include applicable VAT unless otherwise stated
5.2 Payment Processing
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- We do not store your full payment card details on our servers
- By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the specified amount
- You represent that you have the legal right to use any payment method provided
5.3 Subscriptions and Recurring Payments
If you purchase a subscription service:
- You authorize recurring charges at the frequency specified (e.g., monthly, annually)
- Charges will continue until you cancel your subscription
- Prices may change with notice; you will be notified before any price increase
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us
5.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We may attempt to re-process the payment
- We may suspend or limit access to services until payment is received
- You are responsible for any fees associated with failed payments (e.g., insufficient funds)
5.5 Refunds
- Tax Return Services: Fees are generally non-refundable once work has commenced on your tax return
- Subscription Services: You may cancel at any time, but refunds are not provided for partial billing periods
- Exceptions: Refunds may be provided at our discretion for services not rendered due to our error or inability to perform

5.6 Chargebacks and Disputes
- If you dispute a charge with your payment provider instead of contacting us directly, we may suspend or terminate your account
- We reserve the right to seek payment for services rendered despite any chargeback
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 Our Content
All content on our website and platform, including but not limited to:
- Text, graphics, logos, images, and software
- Tax calculators and tools
- Website design and layout
- Educational content and guides
...is owned by or licensed to Irish Tax Hub and is protected by Irish and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from our software
- Use our trademarks or branding without written permission
- Create derivative works based on our content
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of all documents and information you upload to our platform. By uploading content, you grant Irish Tax Hub a limited license to:
- Store, process, and transmit your content to provide our services
- Use your content for tax preparation and related services
- Retain your content as required by law (e.g., 6-year Revenue requirement)
This license terminates when you delete your content, subject to legal retention requirements.
6.3 Feedback and Suggestions
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about our services, you grant Irish Tax Hub a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without obligation or compensation to you.
7. Confidentiality and Privacy
7.1 Confidentiality Commitment
Irish Tax Hub is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal and financial information. We will not disclose your information to any third party unless:
- Required by law, regulation, or court order
- Necessary to provide our services (e.g., filing with Revenue)
- With your explicit consent
- To protect our legal rights or prevent fraud
7.2 Privacy Policy
Your use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
7.3 Professional Confidentiality
Where applicable, our tax professionals are bound by professional confidentiality obligations in accordance with Irish law and professional standards.
8. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use our services to:

- Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code

- Collect or harvest information about other users
- Interfere with or disrupt our services or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our services without permission
8.2 ITH Assistant Specific Restrictions
When using the ITH Assistant, you must not:
- Submit excessively high volumes of requests (rate limiting applies)
- Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the underlying AI models
- Submit illegal, offensive, or harmful content
- Use the service to generate spam or misleading information
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or safeguards
- Share outputs in a way that misrepresents them as professional advice
8.3 Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor use of our services for compliance with these Terms
- Investigate suspected violations
- Remove content that violates these Terms
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
- Take legal action to enforce these Terms
9. Service Availability and Modifications
9.1 Service Availability
- We strive to provide reliable, uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
- Services may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
- We will attempt to provide notice of planned downtime when possible
- We are not liable for any losses resulting from service unavailability

- Change pricing with reasonable notice for subscription services

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.
We do not warrant that:
- Our services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Results obtained from our services will be accurate or reliable
- The quality of any services or information obtained will meet your expectations
- Any errors in our software will be corrected
10.2 Tax Advice Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: While Irish Tax Hub employs qualified tax professionals:
- Our services are tailored to your individual circumstances based on the information you provide
- Tax laws are complex and subject to change
- We cannot guarantee specific tax outcomes or Revenue decisions
- You are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of your tax return
- Results from free calculators are estimates only, not professional advice
10.3 ITH Assistant Disclaimer
The ITH Assistant is an informational tool and NOT a substitute for professional tax advice:
- Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or not applicable to your situation
- No professional-client relationship is created by using the ITH Assistant
- Do not rely solely on ITH Assistant outputs for tax decisions
- Always consult with a qualified tax professional before taking action
- Irish Tax Hub is not responsible for any actions taken based on ITH Assistant outputs
10.4 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY IRISH LAW:
Irish Tax Hub, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Errors or omissions in content
- Unauthorized access to your data
- Actions taken by third parties (including Revenue decisions)
EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
10.5 Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full. You may have additional statutory rights that cannot be waived.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Irish Tax Hub and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use or misuse of our services
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or regulation
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Information or content you submit or upload
- Your tax returns or tax-related decisions
- Any negligence or misconduct on your part
This indemnification obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your use of our services.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
12.1 Retention Periods
We retain your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy:
- Account information: 7 years after account closure
- Tax returns and financial documents: Minimum 6 years (Revenue requirement)
- Payment records: 7 years (accounting requirements)
12.2 Account Deletion
You may request account deletion at any time:

- Your account and uploaded documents will be permanently deleted
- Some data must be retained for legal compliance (anonymized where possible)
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed
12.3 Legal Holds
Notwithstanding the above, we may retain data beyond stated periods if:
- Required by law or court order
- Necessary for pending litigation or investigations
- Needed to enforce these Terms or protect our rights
13. Electronic Communications
13.1 Consent to Electronic Communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including:
- Service-related notices and updates
- Account notifications and security alerts
- Tax return status updates
- Marketing communications (if you opt in)
- Policy updates and changes
These communications may be sent via email, SMS, or through your account dashboard.
13.2 Opting Out
You can opt out of marketing communications by:
- Clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email
- Updating your communication preferences in your account settings

Note: You cannot opt out of essential service-related communications (e.g., account security alerts, tax filing confirmations).
14. Professional Standards and Regulation
14.1 Professional Obligations
Irish Tax Hub's tax professionals adhere to:
- Irish tax laws and Revenue regulations
- Professional standards and codes of conduct
- Continuing professional development requirements
- Professional indemnity insurance coverage
14.2 Representation Before Revenue
Where we represent you before the Revenue Commissioners:
- You authorize us to act on your behalf for specified matters
- We will keep you informed of all material developments
- You must cooperate with reasonable requests for information
- You may revoke representation authority at any time in writing
14.3 Limitations of Representation
Unless specifically agreed in writing:
- We do not represent you in tax appeals or tribunal proceedings
- We do not represent you in criminal tax matters
- We do not provide legal advice (consult a solicitor for legal matters)
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Informal Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at contact@irishtaxhub.ie. We will make a good faith effort to resolve the matter informally.
15.2 Mediation
If informal resolution fails, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through mediation before pursuing litigation.
15.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
15.4 Time Limitation
Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms must be commenced within one year after the cause of action arose, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Force Majeure
Irish Tax Hub shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or extreme weather
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government actions
- Strikes, labor disputes, or supply chain disruptions
- Telecommunications or internet failures
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Changes in tax laws or Revenue systems
During force majeure events, our obligations under these Terms will be suspended for the duration of the event.
17. Termination
17.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:

- Following account closure procedures in your account settings
17.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately without notice if:
- You breach these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent, illegal, or abusive conduct
- Required by law or regulatory authorities
- You provide false or misleading information
- Your payment method fails and you do not provide alternative payment
17.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to access and use our services immediately ceases
- We will delete your account and uploaded documents per our retention policy
- You remain liable for any fees owed prior to termination
- You may request a copy of your data before account deletion
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive (including confidentiality, indemnification, limitations of liability, and governing law)
17.4 No Refunds Upon Termination
If we terminate your account for cause, you will not be entitled to any refund of prepaid fees.
18. Changes to Terms and Conditions
18.1 Right to Modify
Irish Tax Hub reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time.
18.2 Notice of Changes
When we make changes:

- For material changes, we will provide notice via email (if you have an account) or a prominent notice on our website
- We may require you to accept updated Terms before continuing to use our services
18.3 Acceptance of Changes
Your continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using our services and may close your account.
18.4 Review Obligation
It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.
19. General Provisions
19.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Irish Tax Hub regarding your use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
19.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
19.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by Irish Tax Hub.
19.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms or delegate any of our obligations without restriction.
19.5 Headings
Headings and section titles are for convenience only and do not limit or affect the interpretation of these Terms.
19.6 Relationship
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Irish Tax Hub.
19.7 Third-Party Beneficiaries
These Terms do not confer any third-party beneficiary rights.
19.8 Language
These Terms are written in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only. In case of conflict, the English version prevails.
